This study evaluates the safety, side effects, and optimal dose of triapine in combination with daily intensity modulated radiation therapy for patients with recurrent diffuse midline gliomas, astrocytomas (IDH-mutant), or glioblastomas (IDH-wildtype). Triapine, a ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor, is given orally two hours prior to radiation treatment, with imaging and biospecimen assessments monitoring response. The trial is sponsored by the National Cancer Institute.
