Within KEYMAKER-U03 (Merck), this doublet targets angiogenesis (VEGFR/MET) plus hypoxia signaling (HIF-2α) in patients recurring on/after adjuvant IO. Frontline RCC has moved to IO+TKI, and belzutifan has traction post-IO; combining these mechanisms could outperform sequential monotherapy. Safety lead-in, then efficacy (ORR/PFS), will indicate whether to test further in IO-experienced disease.
