Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is exploring the use of 18F-FDG and the XEOS Aura 10 PET/CT device for high-resolution, ex vivo imaging of resection margins during standard surgical procedures. This technique aims to assist surgeons in accurately identifying at-risk margins without altering the surgical workflow or requiring extra patient visits.
