Academic sites with AstraZeneca are testing volrustomig (MEDI5752) as monotherapy and in volrustomig-based combinations (e.g., carboplatin/paclitaxel, cisplatin/5-FU) across tumor-specific sub-studies. CTLA-4/PD-1 doublets like ipi+nivo deliver benefit but at high rates of grade ≥3 toxicity; a single bispecific aims to preserve depth with simpler dosing and a cleaner profile. Cohort-level ORR/DOR and safety will map where this fits relative to existing doublets.
