In the first-in-human Phase 1 VISTA-101 trial, KVA12123—administered alone and with pembrolizumab—demonstrated a favorable safety profile (no dose-limiting toxicities or cytokine release syndrome) across doses up to 1000 mg, with stable disease observed in many patients and a confirmed partial response in a mucoepidermoid carcinoma case, alongside robust target engagement and immune activation biomarkers.
These early findings support further clinical exploration of KVA12123, suggesting that targeting VISTA may enhance immune activation and overcome resistance to current checkpoint inhibitors in advanced solid tumors.
