In a phase 1 trial cohort of 14 PD-L1+ (CPS ≥1) patients with recurrent or metastatic HNSCC, the combination of PDL1V and pembrolizumab yielded a 50% ORR, including a 21.4% complete response rate. Common treatment-related adverse events were fatigue, nausea (50%), and grade ≥3 diarrhea (14.3%). Compared to pembrolizumab monotherapy (KEYNOTE-048 trial) ORR of 17% and CR of 5% makes this combo look even better!

Really awesome extension in immunotherapy sensitive cancers like HNSCC beginning to home in on increasing complete responses. We look forward to more on this treatment and will be sending patients their way.
