This phase I single-center, single-arm trial is evaluating the safety and feasibility of transarterial embolization using bland particles to occlude feeding vessels in hypervascular pediatric soft tissue sarcomas, where tumors exhibit at least 50% arterial enhancement and a 3-mm feeding vessel. Eligible patients include those with metastatic or primary sarcomas who have failed standard-of-care or are resectable, representing a novel regional intervention at the University of Alabama at Birmingham; today’s care is surgery + multi-agent chemo ± RT, and this explores a pre/post-op adjunct to shrink/slow tumors.
