Phase 1/1b trial: Venetoclax BCL-2 inhibitor in relapsed B-cell ALL
- Trial ID
- NCT07133997 on ClinicalTrials.gov
- Cancer type
- Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
- Stage of research
- Exploratory
- Location
- City of Hope (Duarte, CA)

This study evaluates the safety and effectiveness of combining asparaginase Erwinia chrysanthemi (protein synthesis inhibitor), venetoclax (BCL-2 inhibitor), and blinatumomab (bispecific T-cell engager) in adults with relapsed/refractory CD19+ B-cell ALL. The trial, sponsored by City of Hope Medical Center, uses pre-phase bridge and sequential dosing to explore a novel combinatorial approach in a challenging cancer subtype; blinatumomab and CAR-T are active but not universal—layering BCL-2 and asparaginase aims to heighten cytotoxic and immune kill.
