The study aims to assess whether the single-agent investigational olutasidenib, an IDH1 inhibitor, can safely maintain remission in adult patients with IDH1-mutant AML following intensive induction and consolidation therapy. Patients meeting criteria (complete remission or MLFS) will receive 150 mg orally twice daily as a maintenance approach. Sponsored by Virginia Commonwealth University, the trial investigates a novel strategy in a targeted, post-intensive AML setting; maintenance options (e.g., oral azacitidine) aren’t IDH1-directed, so mutation-specific maintenance could extend remissions.
