Phase 1 TheraBionic P1 device: Electromagnetic modulation therapy for advanced HCC

Trial ID
NCT07118202 on ClinicalTrials.gov
Cancer type
Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Stage of research
Exploratory
Location
Karmanos Cancer Institute (Detroit)
Published in
New in Oncology - Sept 5, 2025

This trial assesses the safety and impact on overall survival of the investigational TheraBionic P1 device, which delivers self-administered amplitude-modulated electromagnetic fields, compared to a secondary TheraBionic Mouth Magnetic Field Device. Eligible patients are those with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma who have exhausted first and second-line therapies. Sponsored by Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, this study evaluates long-term safety, treatment tolerability, and tumor response in a novel device approach; after atezo/bev or durva/treme and TKIs (e.g., cabo, rego), choices are limited—this looks for benefit with low added toxicity.
