This open-label, multicenter study led by ModernaTX assesses the safety and tolerability of mRNA-2808, an mRNA vaccine using an undisclosed antigen, in adults with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. Participants receive the investigational therapy to determine appropriate dosing and preliminary efficacy, offering early insights into mRNA-based immunotherapy for this underserved population. Later-line SoC increasingly uses anti-CD38 antibodies, IMiD/PI combinations, and BCMA/GPRC5D-directed cellular or bispecific therapies; this study explores whether vaccination can induce durable control with a lighter treatment burden.
