Phase 2 trial of TheraSphere Yttrium-90 microspheres for liver internal radiation therapy

This prospective, single-arm, open-label Phase 2 trial at the University of California, San Francisco evaluates trans-arterial radiation segmentectomy for patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (BCLC stage A and T2 disease). Participants receive a single dose of TheraSphere Yttrium-90 glass microspheres – which deliver localized beta radiation – with dosing tailored by tumor size and number. Safety and quality-of-life outcomes are closely monitored.
