In this randomized trial by UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, women with obesity, in situ, or Grade 1 endometrial cancer receive either 4 weeks of tirzepatide or no tirzepatide prior to surgery. Tirzepatide is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist that modulates insulin, fat metabolism, and mTOR signaling to reduce cell proliferation. The study explores a novel approach combining metabolic improvement with tumor microenvironment modulation.
