Phase 2 NALIRIFOX trial with liposomal irinotecan (topoisomerase I inhibitor) in pancreatic cancer.

Medical University of South Carolina is conducting a single-center, open-label, randomized Phase 2 trial comparing NALIRIFOX versus modified gemcitabine, nab-paclitaxel plus cisplatin in previously untreated patients with unresectable or metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. NALIRIFOX includes liposomal irinotecan (topoisomerase I inhibitor), oxaliplatin (DNA synthesis inhibitor), 5-fluorouracil (thymidylate synthase inhibitor), and leucovorin (5-FU modulator), while mGAP features gemcitabine (ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor), nab-paclitaxel (tubulin inhibitor), and cisplatin (DNA synthesis inhibitor).
