Phase II Doxorubicin & Trabectedin Trial: DNA Synthesis and Tubulin Inhibition in Uterine Leiomyosarcoma

This Phase II single-arm study led by MD Anderson investigates the safety and efficacy of combining adjuvant doxorubicin (Topo II inhibitor) plus trabectedin (DNA-minor-groove binder) in patients with stage Ib-III uterine leiomyosarcoma following hysterectomy. The trial provides outpatient treatment integrated with standard-of-care, aiming to offer a novel post-surgical chemotherapy combination option, if tolerability is not an issue.
