The study evaluates safety and efficacy of BMS-986504 when combined with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel versus standard chemo plus placebo in a randomized design. It enrolls treatment-naïve patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma harboring homozygous MTAP deletion (~25% of PDAC patients). Gemcitabine acts as a ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor and nab-paclitaxel as a tubulin-binding nanoparticle formulation. Bristol-Myers Squibb sponsors this trial investigating targeted PRMT5 therapy.
