Phase 2 GdContrast: Gadolinium agent enhances T1 relaxation for improved margin visualization

This prospective study sponsored by Case Comprehensive Cancer Center evaluates whether enhanced pre-operative MRI protocols—including noncontrast, contrast-enhanced, T2 weighted, and T2 SPACE sequences—can predict margin status during transoral robotic surgery in patients with HPV+ tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma. Three neuroradiologists independently grade pharyngeal muscle thickness, aiming to inform surgical planning and optimize patient outcomes.
