This trial evaluates immediate reduced‐intensity total body irradiation followed by donor hematopoietic cell transplant after FLAG-Ida chemotherapy in adults aged 60 and older with adverse-risk AML or high-grade myeloid cancers. Treatments include fludarabine, cytarabine, and idarubicin (all DNA synthesis inhibitors) with G-CSF to promote blood recovery, and the study, sponsored by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, explores a novel sequencing approach aimed at reducing cytopenia duration while improving curative outcomes.
