This trial by the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota evaluates safety and preliminary efficacy of bortezomib (a 26S proteasome inhibitor) combined with CPX-351 (a liposomal formulation of daunorubicin and cytarabine) in patients with newly-diagnosed TP53-mutated AML. It aims to attenuate NF-kB activation and eradicate TP53-mutated leukemia stem cells while assessing remission, survival, and treatment feasibility.
