Phase 2 Cetuximab EGFR-directed mAb in de-escalated radiation therapy for HPV+ carcinoma

Researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center are evaluating reduced radiation doses with standard chemotherapy post-induction in advanced HPV-positive oropharyngeal carcinoma. Eligible patients must downstage to T1-2, <N3 and show no hypoxia on 18F-FMISO PET imaging, aiming to maintain efficacy while lowering treatment toxicity.
