This randomized, double-blinded study compares two treatment arms in first-line extensive-stage small cell lung cancer patients. One arm uses atezolizumab—a PD-L1 inhibitor—plus etoposide (a topoisomerase II inhibitor) and carboplatin (a platinum-based DNA synthesis inhibitor), while the other employs BNT327, a VEGFA-targeted monoclonal antibody, with the same chemotherapy backbone to evaluate safety and efficacy. Sponsored by BioNTech SE.
