The National Cancer Institute is comparing cedazuridine-decitabine (ASTX727) alone versus its combination with enasidenib in treatment-naïve, higher-risk IDH2-mutated MDS patients. This study evaluates whether adding enasidenib, an IDH2 inhibitor, can further enhance decitabine’s efficacy by blocking tumor cell growth and improving hematopoiesis across multiple centers nationwide.
