In the phase 2 PEACE V-STORM trial of 190 evaluable patients with PET-detected pelvic nodal recurrences, elective nodal radiotherapy (ENRT) with androgen deprivation achieved a 4-year metastasis-free survival of 76% compared to 63% with metastasis-directed therapy (MDT), with comparable toxicity profiles.
This study establishes ENRT as a promising standard treatment for PET-detected nodal recurrences in prostate cancer, pending confirmation in a phase 3 trial.
